Unter Goldschmied
the NSDAP as Driver of Antisemitism

Unter Goldschmied 3, 50667 Köln

NSDAP local group ‘Cologne Cathedral’

From 1934 to 1937 the local Nazi group called ‘Cologne Cathedral’ had its offices at Unter Goldschmied 3. In the strictly hierarchical party organization, the Ortsgruppe (local group) was one of the smallest units of the NSDAP. It enabled the party to maintain an influential grip on peoples’ minds and close surveillance right into the private sphere.
