The father stands at the table, holding a glass of wine. His wife and two children sit at the festively set table while he recites the blessing. Two lit candles stand in front of them. The text describes the preparations and the course of the Sabbath evening. The table is festively set with candles, beautiful dishes, and Sabbath bread. The father and Leo return from the service, wash their hands, and the father makes the Kiddush, recites the blessing, and distributes the bread. Afterwards, the family eats a festive meal, Sabbath hymns are sung, and grace is recited. Bedtime isn't until 8:30 a.m. – a beautiful and special evening for everyone.
